RESPONSIBILITY

"I wish to see you become a responsible person someday". "I get very happy when I see you act responsible". 30 odd years on, married with 2 children and supposetly nearing the peak of his carrer in an almost 90 degree ascent curve, born loser is yet to become a responsible person.
No there is no sarcasm or double meaning here..in its true essence this bloke is yet to become responsible.
For us shenanigans let us first define what it is to be responsible:
1. Liable to be required to give account, as of one's actions or of the discharge of a duty or trust.
2. Involving personal accountability or ability to act without guidance or superior authority: a responsible position within the firm.
3. Being a source or cause.
4. Able to make moral or rational decisions on one's own and therefore answerable for one's behavior.
5. Able to be trusted or depended upon; reliable.
6. Based on or characterized by good judgment or sound thinking: responsible journalism.
7. Having the means to pay debts or fulfill obligations.
8. Required to render account; answerable.

Hmmm.. he seems to sort of have most of those covered but yet he aint responsible. Once again I am reminded of 'Pursuit of Happiness'. (In sadness for this chap I reflect)
Doing almost everything you are told, letting more than one person chart out your life path, not being too proactive fearing you will not do the right thing, being silent even when you were so close to internal combustion , doing almost everything with the intention it brings happiness, pride and satisfaction to your family ,is not being responsible my friends.
You got to play the game man. The game. You do it irrespective of need and requirement so that you score...you score in the responsibilty card.
Being mentally and physically everready to jump in and swim against the tide aint enough dear one. You got to get downright wet and swim against the tide even if the tide is going the right way and mind you CALL THE PRESS! I mean a little publicity in the right circles never actually hurt anyone isnt it.
"Life is like a box of chocolates, you never really know which piece you will get"..Forest gump. Man that guy's got to be stupid alight. Screw the chocolates and screw the box. Life is a game...you got to play to score every time.No score, no moving up the stages and no prize for you my boy. No point sitting around and being ready to act at times you feel you are needed most only. Act all the time whether its needed or not as you need to score....
When one of dear friends told me how he gets to hear those famous lines i quoted above, I couldnt resist writing this article.
My conclusion...You are a worthless piece of assimilated, digested material that is just got his head where the sun doesnt shine. Go get a new life....loser.!

Pursuit of happiness

Life could be better...or to be more precise a little less complicated and very much more happier. When I am sad sometimes, I reflect on movies I have watched before to inspire me to move on and to fight the wretched feeling of hopelessness or disgust or nause or diarrhoe whatever. Now the movie that comes to mind is as mentioned above.

Pursuit: means act of trying or looking to catch something or somebody./

Happiness:is a state of mind or feeling characterized by contentment, satisfaction, pleasure, or joy.

Well at the moment i have non of the above except probably when i look at my little daughter or when i wrestle with my son or when I see my wife smile at me....Life could be better.....maybe i could be smarter......maybe i could be stronger.....

Over and out for now...

Just a thought...

Wrote a whole piece on nationality and ethnicity etc today but it got wiped out by the system...I wonder why.

Anyways was pondering whether to rewrite the whole thing when suddenly I remembered the man in the mirror. Yes the song by pop king michael jackson and how it took me a good 5 -10 years to actually understand what it realy meant. Ignoranace is bliss because when I did understand its meaning, it was the last day of my life i believed that all my problems were somebody elses fault. No siree it was all MY fault and doing, and you know what, life has been rather hell with that kind of guilt and responsibilty. I mean its great to blame someone else or pin it on some else's ass all the time. Most of you would have realised that he meant that if you want a change then be the change yourself.

Oh thats not easy sir.......

But Michael Jackson knew it was not impossible....He knew that to bring the world back together again we have to get ourself together again!. We had to look real hard at ourself first and change before we even hoped someone else would.

If only all the wise heard more music.....

God bless you mike...I know you are still alive!!!

MALAYAN RACE?

Main articles: Malaysian Malay and Article 160 of the Constitution of Malaysia

In Malaysia, the early colonial censuses listed separate ethnic groups, such as "Malays, Boyanese, Achinese, Javanese, Bugis, Manilamen and Siamese". The 1891 census merged these ethnic groups into the three racial categories used in modern Malaysia – Chinese, ‘Tamils and other natives of India’, and ‘Malays and other Natives of the Archipelago’. This was based upon the European view at the time that race was a biologically based scientific category. For the 1901 census, the government advised the word "race" should replace "nationality" wherever it occurs.
After a period of generations being classified in these groups, individual identity formed around the concept of bangsa Melayu (Malay race). For younger generations of people, they saw it as providing a unity and solidarity against the colonial powers, and non-Malay immigrants. The Malaysian nation was later formed with the bangsa Melayu having the central and defining position within the country.
(Reid, Anthony (2001). "Understanding Melayu (Malay) as a Source of Diverse Modern Identities". Journal of Southeast Asian Studies 32 (3): 295–313. doi:10.1017/S0022463401000157. )

RACE

Ever wonder what this obscene four letter word actually means and what implication it has on the world we live in. Yes you read right, obscene four letter word because the other so called obscene and highly popular four letter word has one meaning and that alone but THIS four letter word race has absolutely no consistent meaning and you can very well interpret it as you fancy!
Reminding someone of his/her race at times is worst then telling them to %#@K off!!

The word "race", along with many of the ideas now associated with the term, were first coined during the age of exploration, a time of European imperialism, technological superiority and colonization( A. Smedley (1999) Race in North America: origin and evolution of a worldview, 2nd ed. Westview Press, Boulder )
Europeans began to sort themselves and others into groups associated with physical appearance and with deeply ingrained behaviors and capacities. A set of folk beliefs took hold that linked inherited physical differences between groups to inherited intellectual, behavioral, and moral qualities(Banton M (1977) The idea of race. Westview Press, Boulder). The first post-Classical published classification of humans into distinct races seems to be François Bernier's Nouvelle division de la terre par les différents espèces ou races qui l'habitent ("New division of Earth by the different species or races which inhabit it"), published in 1684.
The 19th century saw attempts to change race from a taxonomic to a biological concept. These scientists made three claims about race: first, races are objective, naturally occurring divisions of humanity; second, there is a strong relationship between biological races and other human phenomena (such as forms of activity and interpersonal relations and culture, and by extension the relative material success of cultures), thus biologizing the notion of race, as Foucault demonstrated in his historical analysis; third, race is therefore a valid scientific category that can be used to explain and predict individual and group behavior. Races were distinguished by skin color, facial type, cranial profile and size, texture and color of hair. Moreover, races were almost universally considered to reflect group differences in moral character and intelligence.

BY THE WAY REMEMBER DARWIN...HE WAS A MONOGENIST(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monogenesis)

Dr. Craig Venter and scientist Francis Collins of the National Institute of Health jointly made the announcement of the mapping of the human genome in 2000. Upon examining the data from the genome mapping, he realized that although we are indeed further apart genetically from each other, (1-3% instead of the assumed 1%), the types of variations don't warrant calling each other different races. He says quote.."Race is a social concept. It's not a scientific one. There are no bright lines (that would stand out), if we could compare all the sequenced genomes of everyone on the planet." "When we try to apply science to try to sort out these social differences, it all falls apart."(New Ideas, New Fuels: Craig Venter at the Oxonian". FORA.tv. 2008-11-03. )

Alright here is a little summary of what race means:
1. A local geographic or global human population distinguished as a more or less distinct group by genetically transmitted physical characteristics.
2. A group of people united or classified together on the basis of common history, nationality, or geographic distribution: the German race.
3. A genealogical line; a lineage.
4. Humans considered as a group.
5. Biology
a. An interbreeding, usually geographically isolated population of organisms differing from other populations of the same species in the frequency of hereditary traits. A race that has been given formal taxonomic recognition is known as a subspecies.
b. A breed or strain, as of domestic animals.
6. A distinguishing or characteristic quality, such as the flavor of a wine.
